Hi! I am a local Murrieta mom who began playing pickleball with her 2 kids, ages 7 and 10, in 2020 during Covid. It was a great way to get outside and have fun! Our family had casually played tennis together for years, and our kids had been enrolled in basic tennis lessons, but it was hard with our young children to play an actual game together on a big tennis court. We soon realized that pickleball was a great alternative. With the smaller court size and the foundational skills they had learned from tennis, our kids were able to pick up the game. Soon, we were able to play beginner level games together with friends and family.

My son Levi fell in love with the game and can easily outplay me now. Together, he and I decided that teaching young kids to play would be a fulfilling adventure and would help kids get outside and be active, while building foundational skills like hand eye coordination, basic playing techniques, learning the rules, sportsmanship, and having fun.
